Outlook synchronization tool

Step 1: To install SFCRM Outlook Sync, first download the program from our website

and store the program on a suitable directory such as \Temp.

Step 2: Double-click on OutlookSyncInstaller.exe and follow the default instructions. The default directory is C:\Program Files\sfaFinity\Outlook Sync.

Step 3: Click on Install, and when the installation is complete, the program will prompt you to close the installation window.

Step 4: To run the program, click the start menu and choose Programs - sfaFinity - Outlook Sync for sfCRM.

Step 5: The SFCRM Outlook Sync program will show you the following window:

Enter your SFCRM URL or IP address such as http://demo.sfafinity.com:8000
Enter your Administrator-provided user name/password and login
You will be presented with the following screen and prompt you to choose the specific set of Contacts and Activities/Tasks from SFCRM.
Ideally, you should choose a specific filter as you do not want to clutter your Outlook with unwanted Contacts and Activities.

Step 6: Once you have selected the required Contacts and Activities filter, you will be presented with the following view:

Click on Sync and the program will synchronize the data from SFCRM to your Outlook and present you with three options. Choose: SFCRM Always Wins (for this version). To test the Activities and Tasks Sync, create some Activities for today.

Open your Outlook and verify that your contacts and calendar items are now in sync with SFCRM. You will notice that SFCRM Contacts have the category sfcrm so that you can identify the specific Contacts you have downloaded. The Outlook Calendar is synced with SFCRM Activities based on the specific filters selected.
